Economic development team visits Big Apple

The Volusia Economic Development staff participated in the nation’s largest trade show for Medical Device Manufacturing (MDM) in New York City’s Javis Convention Center in June. The MDM Show is one of several industry trade shows that the Department of Economic Development attends annually to promote relocation to and business expansion opportunities in our community. The recent show included 1,200 manufacturers and more than 25,000 individual participants. Touting the message, “Think Relocation,” is (left) John Kizer, business specialist, and Rick Michael, economic development director. Also pictured is the display for American Industrial Plastics of Daytona Beach, which joined the economic development team during the event.
