Education
There is a strong link between workforce skill and business success, and employers expect communities to have a well-educated and skilled workforce ready to meet their needs. Volusia County Division of Economic Development compiles graduation data from the community’s secondary and post-secondary education institutions to capture the total number of students that could potentially enter the workforce each year. Volusia County exceeds both Florida and the U.S.A. in the percent of its "over 25" population who have attained a High School diploma (including equivalency) or higher. Our internationally recognized centers of learning, outstanding educators, cooperative programs and engaged community provide fertile ground for learning and personal growth.
